Users can have immediate access to all 650 highly acclaimed Chronicle Occupational Briefs and you don't have to use any hard drive space or shelf space, no more filing, no more worry about where the last user put the CD or finding the misfiled brief. And users can access it from any computer with Internet access.

Chronicle Occupational Briefs present information on more than 2,000 occupational titles, including 650 comprehensive occupational descriptions, ranging from those that require a high school diploma or less, through professional careers; that's more than 95% of the jobs in the workforce. Users select a Holland Code and get a list of our corresponding occupations; click on an occupation and view the Occupational Brief. Chronicle's database of more than 2,000 occupational titles are coded to Holland Occupational Codes based on John Holland's RIASEC theory. Individuals locate occupations classified according to their resemblance to six ideal types: Realistic (R), Investigative (I), Artistic (A), Social (S), Enterprising (E), and Conventional (C).

And users can also select an occupation, listed alphabetically with an HOC Code, and then view the actual corresponding Occupational Brief.

The HOC Format links directly with Self-Directed Search (SDS) Form R and Self-Directed Search (SDS) Career Explorer Assessments.
